Dear 'Captain' Tony and (IELTS) citizens,
My apology for the late reply due to some outstanding issues that had to be accomplished during the weekend.
Regarding the questions posed on the former post "Questions for Firas", I will make my answers short and quick, so you will not get bored by reading them.
Writing:
1- Follow Tony’s golden advice “stick to one side of the essay”. By that, I mean to defend one part of the essay – the part you believe in – in either argument or opinion essays.
2- By defending one side, you will make your essay stronger and have more power and meaning for the reader.
3- Make your introduction: tell the reader where you are going with the essay; make it explicit which way you have chosen.
4- The first body paragraph consists of: building up your first belief and backing it up with examples.
5- The second body paragraph consists of: Building up your second belief and backing it up with examples.
6- The conclusion: not much different from the introduction.
7- Use punctuation in the right manner / location. Go to the website http://lilt.ilstu.edu/golson/punctuation/ to read and learn more about this subject. (It is vital!).
8- Use synonyms and make the reader feel that you know more than he expects from you. Please go to my former post that has the title (VOCABULARY).
9- Follow Tony’s three model essay examples that have been distributed to you.
10- Finally, do not panic. Spend five minutes to write down whatever ideas / thoughts spark in your mind related to the essay and then arrange your ideas to form your paragraphs. It is very simple. The subject of any essay will be something you have experienced / might have heard/ might have read about during your life.
Speaking:
1- While communicating with the examiner, show no speaking hesitation . Speak confidently.
2- Widen your vocabulary and use synonyms.
3- Form your speaking by using correct grammar. When you speak about the past events, make all your sentence verbs in the past, and similarly do the same regarding the other events with the related (correct) time frame.
Yours sincerely

My loyal 'Lieutenant' Firas,
Thank you, once again for trying to help this silent bunch of IELTS 'wannabes'.
It was very kind of you to take the trouble to send us your advice for how to improve IELTS scores. However, "There's only one Firas Ghazi, one Firas Ghazi" as the football chant goes...
Hard work, talent, drive, ambition, stubbornness and sweat are needed, aren't they?
I appreciate your advocacy of my approach to essay writing for IELTS.
Finally, Firas, you have probably noticed that I have taken the liberty of 'tweaking' your post. Do you know this word 'tweak'? If not, do look it up and add it to your impressive lexicon.
Also, your hours upon hours in the BC Learning Zone paid off, didn't they?
Take your rest, Firas, we only have four more lessons then these pilgrims will face their destinies.
Good night everyone
Tony
Thank you Firas for your wonderful advice. I feel I have to practice my essay writing. What you say Tony?? My essays are not that good.
After the course have to Practice Practice Practice!!
Yes Tony you are right we will face our destinies
This ieltscommunity20 blog people are not regular. No one posted yet anything.Everyone busy in their own world
BYe for now
Take care
Dear "Captain",
Certainly! You are more than (welcomed) to modify my writing structure. By doing that, every time, I could have the chance to enhance my style by copying yours. Would you believe if I told you that I got the chance to write the phrase “(God forbid)” that you had used in your "death sentenc" essay along with the parenthesis, on the exam paper? Believe me, I was laughing at that time, because I knew that I was doing something special. It is all yours and it is sourced from you: Master!
Iam still preparing my three narratives that I told you about and, iam getting little bit bored, because there are a lot of details that I have to provide, in addition to the time I have consumed. Hope to finish next week. When are you leaving for vacation?
We will keep in touch, so until then, you have my regards.
Firas
It is a pleasure and a privilege to meet and help guys like you!
Indeed, it gives me great satisfaction to know that together we took on and defeated this IELTS demon.
It's my birthday today, thanks for a lovely message and kind regards to you as well.
I'm here in Abu Dhabi until 28 July, then in the UK until the end of August (will take in a few football games!).
Sure, let's keep in touch and good luck with your endeavours.
Tony
