Vocabulary: is the backbone of the English language. All IELTS' moons (listening, writing, reading and speaking as well) revolve in its galaxy. As a humble opinion from a former IELTS student (Ieltscommunity18), memorize as much as you can. But, what I'm talking about? What sort of vocabulary Ieltscommunity20 need, and howmuch? of course, it is impossible to catch 615,000 words that shape the English language. Here is the solution for the short span of three weeks. Take the words that are "new"; words that you have not experienced before, from the reading essays included in the book you have already bought "IELTS 3" and 'Insight into IELTS". Try to memorize 10 words as minimum per day. Steal the moments in the morning to memorize them, even if you are working or busy, try your best to catch them and make your review in the weekend. The clues for the different elements of the exam will massively rely on these words. Fellows, trust me! You will realize their values when you conduct the exam.
All the best.

Excellent advice from an IELTS master!
Indeed, let's look at vocabulary record keeping today as part of our 'getting our files organised' mission.
Thanks for your 'battle-tested\ words of wisdom, Firas!
Tony
sar i want to know how can i update my vocabulary so i can speech properly my vocabulary is not good help me ?
Good morning,
After the 'Captain's permission' to answer this question, get Tony's ‘vocabulary form’ and start writing down any 'NEW' word you have experienced. As you will see, the form contains a field for translation and another field regarding the use of this word in a sentence. Furthermore, there is a field for synonyms. If you are interested more, get 'Cambridge Dictionary' from “All Prints" bookshop. It is comprehensive for any word you may face now or in the future. You can install its 'CD' and instantaneously adventure its 'smart thesaurus', listening to the recorded pronunciation and see the examples of the words' usage. It is vital.
