Ahmed Result

Below was my result in IELTS:
listening 4
Reading 4
Writing 6
Speaking 7
This was in Tony Test. But the formal IELTS result is as following:
listening 6
Reading 6
Writing 5
Speaking 7

Over all BAND 6
According to what I have been told band six is enough to help my wife to submit her paper to immigrate to Australia,This was good reason to spend week end night peacefully, But on Friday morning i checked the detail and call the immigration office in Australia the answer was( Sorry I am a fried you have to get six as minimum in all tasks) Therefor I have to book for nearest IELTS test. I admits however I improve my self in listening and reading, but I ignores the writing exercise, this week i will start my straggle again.there is some interesting to do it a gain.

Alas, Ahmed - what a pity!

You did so well in the three parts, but 'took your eye off the ball' for writing (your Achilles' Heel!).

You improved substantially in reading and listening - well done! You are capable of band 6.0 in the writing as you proved in two pieces of work with me - the other five were all band 5.0 level.

It's like juggling four balls at the same time and you can't afford to drop one of the four balls.

I admire your positive spirit and reaction to this disappointment. I think the Australians should be grateful that people of calibre, such as yourself, are willing to settle in their empty, barren, arid and God-forsaken country!

Please pay attention to avoidable spelling mistakes and your idiosyncratic use of grammar - you tend to write ungrammatical phrases that do not help your cause.

Do post writing work on this or the next weblog and we can all help you improve your writing to a band 6.0. However, don't take the listening and reading for granted - you can't drop any of the four balls!

The BC Abu Dhabi is booked up till September for IELTS exams. Try elsewhere and use the Learning Zone in the meantime.

I start another IELTS course on 8 July and will be starting a new weblog later this week.

Good luck, Ahmed, don't lose heart!

Salam brother Ahmed,

It is very nice to see your results. I am very proud of you, and I wish you a very pleasant trip to your target whether Canada or Australia.

I know that you did not need seven in all skills; still you got what you want.

Carry on as all Iraqi do, and do not forget we are always standing by your side, praying to God to fulfill all your goals in life.

Salute to you all especially captain Tony.

I am preparing now for my tripe to Syria on 14th July, so wish me peace.

Thank you, regards.

This is the fighting spirit that all IELTS warriors need.

I have helped someone (not from the British Council) get band 6.0 - a science teacher who needed to get IELTS band 5.5 or he would be sacked.

Yikes! IELTS means such a lot! Let's try to beat this demon. It will take guts, tears, practice and confidence based on talent honed with hard work!

I salute you all!

Tony

PS Have a safe trip, Khawla!
